Hello, I'm new to bigace.

I've downloaded the latest version from this site and 2 themes: CrystalX and Antique Modern. I've installed them using Extensions/Administration. I still see the default theme. How can I change it?
(maybe it's a very stupid question, but I really can't find out...)

Well, in Bigace 2 there is no such setting like a "default" theme.

What you need to do instead is: open a page in menu administration and change the "Layout" to CrystalX for example.
You need to do that for every page!
